Once again it is Christmas week! Even with everything that is going on in the world today, we still have a great deal to rejoice over!
God has given us many wonderful gifts. And the greatest of these gifts is His Son, Jesus Christ. So let us lay aside all the things that bring us worry and fill our minds with fear, and let us open our hearts this Christmas season to worship the King.
Dear One, praise is power--and as you and I glorify the Lord together, allowing praise to remain continually on our lips, we will find hope, healing, peace, and joy not only at Christmas, but all year through.
I want you to know that God has a gift for you today!
You may have started listening to this program feeling miserable, or feeling like a failure. You may feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, and feel like it's about to crush you. You may be feeling oppressed and depressed, unable to go on one more day. But I've got good news! God has a gift for you today--right now--and that gift will change your life!
In this week of Thanksgiving, I am grateful for many things, but what I am the most thankful for is Jesus and how he reached into the depths of my despair and depression and pulled me out.
This week on Joyful Living, I'm sharing what I am thankful for by sharing my story of how Jesus saved my life and gave me new hope in Him.
What's your story? Leave a comment and share what you are most thankful for this Thanksgiving? .
Have you made a decision you now deeply regret? Do you wish, with everything that is in you, that you could go back and make a different choice? Are you haunted by something you said or did, and how feel swallowed up by guilt and shame?
We've all made mistakes and have done things we wish we hadn't. Just like you, I've battled a heart and mind filled with disgrace and many regrets. Sometimes the hardest person in the world for us to forgive is ourselves.
This time on Joyful Living, we're going to recognize the emotional prisons of torment we put ourselves in. We're going to stop listening to those condemning voices, and we're going to learn to embrace the freedom that is ours through God's forgiveness and grace.
In these troubles times, sometimes it is hard to hold onto faith. But Jesus said, "if you have faith and do not doubt, not only can you do what was done to the fig tree, but also you can say to this mountain, 'Go throw yourself into the sea and it will be done.' If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask for in prayer" (Matthew 21:21-22).
This time on Joyful Living, we're going to seek to receive a fresh explosion of faith. The kind of faith will help us to overcome our circumstances and fill us with peace and joy.
Over the years I have battled all kinds of painful emotions--depression, anger, even rage, and fear. I spent the better part of my adult life swallowed up by the pain of my past, and I allowed that pain to dictate my life.
In order to break free from the pain of my past, and all the harmful emotions that were imbedded in my soul, I had to come to a place where I was no longer willing to make excuses. I had to stop blaming others and start taking responsibility for my pain. I had to say, "Enough, I'm done! I don't want to live like this anymore."
If you are ready to stop making excuses, to stop pointing fingers and blaming other people for your pain and your past, then join me. Together let's get up and start walking with Jesus to total freedom.
With everything that is going on in the world right now, you may be asking yourself: Is joy really possible? Maybe right now you are going through something very difficult and the thought of joy is out of reach. Maybe you're struggling with past hurts that are leaving you feeling helpless and hopeless.
This time on Joyful Living, we're going to discover that it is possible to have joy, no matter the circumstances. No matter what life throws at us or what we go through, we can know and experience real joy.
Do you feel controlled by your emotions? Are your emotions taking you on a roller coaster ride? Up one day and down the next?
I used to think that in order to be happy life had to be good, and I had to have everything I was looking for. But I've learned from personal experience that true joy doesn't happen just because life is perfect and I don't have any problems.
We were created to know and experience joy, regardless of our circumstances. This time on Joyful Living, we're going to talk about true biblical joy and how to have peace and joy each and every day!
